ABOUT ME

I hold a Msc in Applied Positive Psychology and have over 35 years of experience guiding one-to-one mind–body practices. My work weaves together somatic awareness and evidence-based positive psychology, grounded in mindful presence and a deep connection to the natural world. My approach is rooted in the belief that, as humans, we must reconnect with our true nature—remembering who we really are and returning to embodied, holistic interconnection in order to thrive and live fulfilling, meaningful, and joyful lives, both individually and collectively. I believe that sustainable change can only occur when we include the wisdom of the body—not just the conscious, cognitive mind—broadening our awareness and opening ourselves to more informed, empowered choice-making and authentic Being. I seek to help you awaken to the present moment and reclaim your attention and your wholeness.

I hold space for the best version of you to shine through while helping to illuminate your path, so you can walk with increased courage, self-compassion. joy and purpose.

I’m especially drawn to supporting those who are navigating life transitions and are ready to embark on the deeper journey of change. My work invites you to come home to your True Nature—restoring balance, clarity, and a renewed sense of wholeness within yourself and with the world around you.

I am passionate about balancing our digital and "real" life experiences and I wrote my dissertation on the importance of increasing "Synchronous Embodied Experiences" over digital and async ones, to mitigate the mental and emotional health crisis we find ourselves increasingly battling as a society.

In my free time I love being in nature, playing in the waves, pottering around in the garden or creating. I have two grown children who are the lights of my life and my greatest teachers. I currently live in a safari tent in Southern California.

What is Positive Psychology and how can working with a positive psychology practitioner help me?

Positive Psychology is the science of wellbeing and optimal human functioning. PP addresses wellbeing on an individual, community and societal level. It draws from and is informed by multiple disciplines including traditional psychology, neuroscience, sociology, and eco psychology. Practitioners constructively build self awareness to empower choices that lead to positive and sustainable change and growth. We support a person in becoming who they want to be at every level, through evidence based and science backed interventions and tools. Traditional psychology often addresses and focuses on problems and dysfunction asking what and why, whereas positive psychology emphasizes strengths, core values and growth asking, what now?
